L’État projette la construction d’un CRA à Loon-Plage d’ici 2027. Le début des travaux à Loon-Plage est prévu en 2025. Un centre de rétention administrative, c’est une prison pour organiser la déportation des personnes étrangères. Elles peuvent y être enfermées jusqu’à 90 jours uniquement parce qu’elles n’ont pas les bons papiers. Alors que cette durée d’enfermement n’a cessé d’être allongée réforme après réforme, le gouvernement actuel prévoit encore de l’augmenter à 210 jours.
