De 13 a 17 de outubro ocorreu em Reggio Emilia o 15º Congresso Internacional de Pedagogia Crítica (criticalpedagogycongress.org), ligado ao Freire Project (freireproject.com). Participaram 47 pessoas vindas dos Estados Unidos, Canadá, Singapura, Grã-Bretanha, Espanha, Itália, Holanda, Brasil e Grécia. O Congresso e o Projeto Freire trabalham na criação de uma comunidade crítica internacional que promove a justiça social em uma variedade de contextos sociais e culturais, apoiando o ativismo e a pesquisa crítica nos âmbitos cultural, juvenil, comunitário e midiático.
