Im Kontext der Corona-Pandemie entwickelte sich Schwab zu einer einflussreichen Figur der rechten verschwörungsideologischen Szene. Dabei nutzt er gezielt seinen Status als Universitätsprofessor, um sich gegenüber seiner Zuhörer*innenschaft zu profilieren.
